Paul D. Ellsworth was admitted to the State Bar of Utah in 1982 and the State Bar of Arizona in 1984. He received his B.A. Degree from Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude, with Highest Honors and as a University Scholar in 1979 and was a Spencer W. Kimball Scholar. He received his law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude, Order of the Coif and as a J. Reuben Clark Scholar. While in law school, Mr. Ellsworth served as a member of the Brigham Young University Law Review (1980-1982) and served as the Law Review’s Lead Note and Comment Editor (1981-1982).

In 1982, Mr. Ellsworth began practicing law in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since 1984, he has practiced in Arizona focusing on real estate and business transactions. He has been a partner in both large and mid-sized law firms.

Mr. Ellsworth is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and has been certified by the Arizona State Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in real estate law.

With 40 years of legal experience, Mr. Ellsworth has earned an “AV” rating, the highest rating awarded by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory Service. Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory receives confidential opinions from members of the bar and the judiciary. As a result of those opinions, Martindale-Hubbell has awarded Mr. Ellsworth a rating of AV, which indicates that he has “very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards.”  In Martindale-Hubbell’s own words, “an AV Rating shows that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence.  He or she has usually practiced law for many years and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity.”
